How does Dr. MKS’ Tulsi Nasya Inhaler Work?

On deep breathing with the inhaler placed in the nostril, volatile vapours of Tulsi oil loaded with pharmacologically active organic compounds reach entire upper respiratory tract, i.e., the nasal cavity, sinuses, and nasopharynx and some even find their way to the lower respiratory tract and lungs.  The vapours thereby come in direct contact with cells of the mucous membrane lining the upper respiratory tract. It is here the viruses, bacteria and allergens after entering the nose first attach themselves to the host cells and multiply for causing local infection before spreading to lungs or for producing an allergic reaction locally. Direct effect of organic compounds of Tulsi Oil on viruses and bacteria thus helps prevent and eradicate infection at the point of entry only. Organic compounds in the oil with anti allergic and anti-inflammatory properties control and modify allergic reaction and allergies.
